- Mentallylab is designed to provide transversal tools to measure, analyze, and promote the management of psychosocial factors in the workplace.
- One of these tools is MentallyPro, a new occupational risk assessment instrument co-created with the University of Barcelona, AfforHealth, and more than 50 partner organizations.
The president of PRLInnovación, Guillermo Murciano, presented MentallyLab at Impact Hub Prosperidad in Madrid. The event brought together more than 130 institutional and union representatives, occupational health professionals, employers’ associations, and public administration stakeholders..
As A. González, CEO of Impact Hub, noted, “today’s world is full of constant changes that affect people’s perceptions. A key factor that “makes the commitment and and involvement of all social actors essential.”.
The goal of Mentallylab as Muricano explains is “is to put the focus on the peopleas they are the true value. Caring for their mental health means addressing the different realities, risks, and environments they may be exposed to.”
For this reason, MentallyLab is built around three transversal pillars:
- MentallyPro, a new psychosocial assessment tool adaptable to different types of work activities
- MentallyData, an annual barometer with the latest data and trends focused on continuous improvement.
- and MentallyHub, a space for events, workshops, seminars, and training on mental health
Joan Guardia, Rector of the University of Barcelona, highlights that MentallyPro will be: 1) standardized,, 2) quick ande easy to administer, 3) resistant to bias,, and 4) designed to move away from traditional scoring systems. Instead of scores, it will use “risk exposure profiles,”allowing the tool to adapt to different work activities, even within the same organization.
This is made possible through the conceptual oversight of University of Barcelona, the contribution of more than 50 companies participasting in the research, and the research grant provided by Fundación Mapfre for the development of the project and AfforHealth, is leading the technological development of the SaaS platform, which will process all data and provide company-level results and benchmarking. This technology will also enable periodic sector-based barometers.
MentallyPro is currently in a testing phase, involving co-creating organizations. Additional invited entities have joined the process, with the aim of validating the instrument before its broader public release.
